This is a C1930 German Germany Composition Costume Boy and Girl Doll Pair from the Frantz Museum. The Jean Frantz Collection: Jean Frantz was a little girl growing up in Pre-WWII Washington, D.C. Her father was acquainted with many foreign dignitaries, who bestowed her with dolls from many lands and the collection later became known as the Frantz Museum. The 9" dolls have jointed composition bodies with the head and torso one piece. The stringing is tight, no odor, some light crazing to the body as you would expect, the girls pupils appear to have some repaint, the boy has some eye paint loss, and the molded hair is painted. The dolls are wearing their original German costuming (the buttons I am not sure about, but they appear to be all original even though the buttons do not match between the two dolls). with some mild fade to the front of the costumes from storage and age. There is some tan spotting to the girls hat. Very sweet representing Germany.
