This is a Vintage Book Piece Crown Trifari Twinkle Design Rhinestone Brooch dating to 1952 by Alfred Philippe for Trifari. It is faintly signed with a crown above the taller letter T with the rest of the signature in block capital letters followed by Pat.Pend. This Philippe signature piece places the date to the 1952 magazine advertisement "The Most Enchanted Gifts of All/ Jewel's by Trifari". Trifari clear rhinestone brooches are wonderful in design and this brooch is no exception. Diamond shaped clear rhinestone "stars" are accented by round clear rhinestones and baguette clear rhinestones (one clear rhinestone baguette may have been re-glued long ago as seen with a loupe and a couple other baguettes are situated within the setting at a slight angle). The setting is rhodium plated and one clear round rhinestone has a slight touch of very pale yellow color also seen with a loupe. There are no dead stones and the stunning brooch measures 3 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide. This Trifari brooch is a book piece "Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia C Carroll page 247. Any coloration on the piece is a reflection of the environment during photography.
