This is a Maggie Face 15 inch unmarked hard plastic strung Madame Alexander Doll with a Brunette wig dating to the C1950's. She is a crisp and clean doll with tight stringing, very clean hard plastic body, blue eyes with full brush lashes, her eyes occasionally need help opening all the way but it is not really an issue, blush to her cheeks, painted underlashes, and red closed mouth. Her brunette wig in the original set and has a long curled hairstyle with long wire barrette at the top of her head with the sides of her hair tied back from her face, short curled bangs and white hair ribbon. She is wearing a clean tagged Madame Alexander sheer white organdy blouse tagged 15" Tall/ Madame Alexander/Reg US Pat Off/ Fashions/ New York USA with the puff sleeve elastics still tight. The very well made and professionally constructed blue dotted swiss pinafore is a newer garment presumably made for her (a very very very pale tan age spot is on the front of the pinafore skirt and is very hard to see) and is not a Madame Alexander pinafore. The lace trimmed petticoat with square snap closure may be Madame Alexander and the eyelet lace trimmed panties are also newer replacements (perhaps the garments were made from one of the patterns produced by major pattern manufacturers at the time???). Additionally she has her original black leatherette side snap shoes with top stitching and a ribbon bow, and white socks. She appears to have an "Alice" in Wonderland look to her, and she is a beautiful doll.
