This is a Ginny Holland Dutch Boy Doll from the Frolicking Fables Series 1954. He is an 8" hard plastic painted lash sleep eye doll marked to his back Ginny/ Vogue Dolls/ Inc./ Pat. Pend/ Made in USA. He has painted lash sleep eyes (eyes stick open), the walking mechanism works well, still has the elastic around his head (not stuck to the hair and has not discolored the very clean blonde Dynel wig), has the "Dutch Boy" hairstyle in the original set, the arms do not hold a pose, and is missing the Dutch Boy cap. The doll and all the clothing are clean, and he appears to have spent his life in the box and was never displayed. His costuming includes the one piece cotton Dutch Boy outfit with all the yellow felt circular "buttons", wooden shoes, blue knit socks, and original blue taffeta panties now lightened/faded in color. His original box is marked #5/ Undressed Walking Doll/ Boy/ BL. The box is in excellent condition with interior neck liner and Ginny brochure. The high color to the face is wonderful along with the clean crisp condition.
