This is a 1953 Vogue Ginny Doll Cheryl #44 who is a Strung Painted Lash Sleep Eye 7 1/2" doll marked Vogue Doll to her back. Ginny is a strung hard plastic doll with a very clean body, no color transfer, a very tight slit at her crotch which does not go to the edge of the crotch and is not an open split, blue painted lash sleep eyes (stick open), stringing still fairly tight, the arms have the usual looseness that do not hold a pose but fit into the socket nicely, light tan lashes and brows, and her golden blonde Dynel wig with bangs is close to the original set with tight curled flipped ends. She is wearing her blue taffeta (some color loss from fugitive dye) dress with pleated taffeta band at the skirt hem with silver braid trim on the cap sleeves and waist band, straw hat (similar color loss from fugitive dye) and bodice decorated with spray of flowers. The flowers on the hat have also lost some color and all the flowers are missing on the dress spray. Her taffeta dress is beautifully clean and pristine but again has lost some color because of the nature of the blue dyes produced at that time. The condition is also pristine with the hook and eye closure in the back. The matching panties are the same but the waist elastic has relaxed/stretched and the panties have been pinned to hold them up. The dress is tagged with the rayon tag with Vogue in blue script. She is also wearing her original silver center snap shoes and pink socks. And she is a cutie pie!!
