This is a 1956 Madame Alexander Lissy Doll in her original Yellow Polished Cotton Dress tagged Lissy to the dress back neckline and the pinafore is tagged as well to the back. Lissy is an all hard plastic 12 inch doll jointed at the shoulders, elbows, head, hips and knees and has slightly arched feet. She was never marked on her body. The hips have the usual slight wiggle to the legs, the arms hold a pose nicely, and the jointed knees and elbows work well. The head sits nicely on her neck knob, no splits or cracks, and the hard plastic body is nice and clean and fresh smelling. She has brown brows, underlashes, large black pupil eyes, molded lash sleep eyes, cherry red mouth, and just a hint of peach blush to her cheeks. Her bright sunshine yellow polished cotton dress is in pristine clean condition with matching panties having tight waist elastic. The white organdy pinafore with feather stitch embroidery is very crisp and clean but has some all over age yellowing to it that blends in rather well with the yellow color of her dress. Her blonde wig is very shiny in the complete original set with yellow satin ribbon holding the pretty curls at the nape of her neck. She also has her original white socks and NEW replacement high heel shoes with yellow elastic that matches the yellow in her dress. Lissy is a gorgeous doll!
