Cindy Vinyl Fashion Doll in Original Outfit 1957-59 Horsman

This is a 1957-59 Horsman Cindy 19" Vinyl Fashion Doll in her Original Outfit. I believe this gorgeous unmarked doll may be a Horsman Cindy, and she does not appear to ever been played with. She has a very clean hard vinyl body jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips with a soft vinyl head. She has beautiful make up , sleep eyes, all her finger and toe polish, her shiny hair is in the curled original pony tail set and she has a bit of green at each pierced ear. Because of the red color to her dress and the gold metallic print roses in it, as well as the back closures, her torso, upper arms, and upper legs have absorbed some of the color with red predominant. So she has vinyl discolorations to the front and back torso, back and front of her upper arms, and to the front and back thigh area of both her legs (although less so here). Her clean original strapless cotton afternoon dress with shoulder scarf is in the most wonderful print including gold metallic roses and white hearts. Her costume is very 50's as underneath the dress, she is wearing an elegant lace trimmed stiff net and white taffeta crinoline petticoat, seamed hose, and yellow taffeta panties. Her original high heels are loose on her as the foot elastic has stretched enough so the shoes no longer stay on, but are held on at the present time for photography with elastic bands. There seemed to be something that once decorated the elastic like perhaps a bow or jewel. I am also including a navy blue high fashion calf length fashion coat that was mother made with some one with skill. The clean coat was obviously made for this doll from luxurious medium weight navy blue rayon fabric detailed with a similar white fabric for the neckline and cuffs in a high fashion style including an a-line fitted bodice flaring to a wide swing hem very typical of what the fashion models were wearing on the fashion runways at the time. But not only that, the left shoulder is adorned with field daisies, and the bandeau hat is lined with tulle, and to keep it on is gold elastic. Her whole outfit is very elegant!
