One of the most spectacular picture frames I have had for a while, an absolute joy, incorporating a Lion's head at the bottom, a variety of Cherubs, a Dog, a running Rabbit, an Owl and other birds.
At the top is a large vacant cartouche, flanked either side by a Cherub.
The back retains it's original blue velvet with a folding easel stand. The silver is hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1900, making this a late Victorian era.
The frame overall measures 9" tall x 7" at widest point with a glazed aperture measuring 5" x 3 1/2".
