A really rare and fabulous games box, in Rosewood and Birds Eye Maple dating to around 1860.
The top has a splendid chess board, each square measuring 1". Beyond this is a decorative Tunbridge Tumbling Block panel containing a pegging out hole for the cribbage street each end (you will require some pegs for the cribbage).
The box opens to reveal a real gem, a miniature Bagatelle table with wooden lined cups marked 1 to 9. The box comes complete with a red and white peg to mark along the sides of the box; also three wonderful polished balls.
A fabulous piece for the antique games collector, the advanced box collector or Tunbridge Ware collector.
Excellent condition, minimal wear to interior felt. 13 3/4" x 8 3/4" x 3 1/4" tall.
