Antique English Sterling Silver & Mother of Pearl Bread Fork - Chester 1899

Always popular are these antique bread forks, so very elegant on the table to serve all sorts of things.

They are particularly sought-after in sterling silver rather than silver plate and even more desirable with these beautifully iridescent Mother of Pearl Handles.

The fork is beautifully engraved to the front and attached to the handle with a highly decorative ferrule.

There is a full English hallmark for the highly sought-after Chester assay office and the year 1899, making this a Victorian example. The makers initials W.A are also present, for the well renowned silversmith, William Aitken.

Excellent condition, measuring 6" long.
