Magnificent Antique English Magnifying Glass - Sterling Silver Owl With Original Glass Eyes

The frame to the glass is silver on brass with some wear commensurate with age, and the fluted handle is silverplated.

Obviously what makes this a highly sought after item is the figural terminal in the form of an Owl's head. This head is beautifully cast is English sterling silver with a hallmark for London 1897 and maker's initials J.K. The owl retains it's two large original glass eyes, still in superb condition.

A real gem in excellent condition, measuring 12 1/2" in length.
