Antique Sterling Silver Jewelry or Trinket Box - 1917

A good sized jewellery box made from English sterling silver, measuring 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 1 5/8" tall to top of the elegant domed lid.

The box stands on four highly decorative legs and the oval lid has some elegant shaping.

The lid fits well and once opens reveals a green velvet lining and a lavishly gilded lid.

The box is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1917 together with the makers initials S*B for the well renowned silversmith, Synyer & Beddoes.
