Carved Anglo Indian Book Rest / Lectern c.1890

Dating to the late nineteenth century, this is a charming little carved wooden Anglo-Indian book rest or lectern, the front panel hand-carved with a floral and foliate design.

The "shelf" where the book would rest folds flat for storage or travel as does the folding easel stand to the back.

The stand is in excellent condition, measuring 9" wide x 10" tall; the book shown measures 5" wide x 7 1/4" tall.
