Fine George III Bombe Shaped Fruitwood Tea Caddy With Fan Paterae & Garland Inlay c.1810

An absolute stunner of a caddy, really different in a highly decorative bombe shape standing on four Ivory ball feet and crowned with a folding brass finial.

The inlay is exquisite, with Tulip Wood cross-banding and Ebony stringing to edges. The top and front is decorated with Satinwood and Harewood fan paterae and the front with a wonderful garland.

The interior reveals a double compartment caddy each with a lid topped with turned Ivory knobs and Ebony stringing.

Dating to around 1810, a fabulous addition to any fine collection. 8 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 6 1/4" tall.
