Large Cut Crystal Vanity Jar - Iridescent Silver / Lilac Guilloche Enamel Top

A wonderful and unusual iridescent Guilloche enamel adorns the sterling silver lid to this vanity or dressing table jar or pot, at first appearance silver or white in colour with a wonderful lilac colour appears when moved.

Underneath the enamel is a stunning sunrise engine turned decoration, very Art Deco and quite wonderful.

The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1938 together with the makers initials, AC into a wavy round contour for the silversmith, Albert Carter.

Excellent condition, measuring 2 7/8" in diameter and standing 2" high.
