Antique English Sterling Silver Topped Vanity Jar - 1900

This beautiful English cut glass jar is topped with the most beautiful repousse decorated sterling silver lid. Amongst the intricate decoration is the English hallmark for the highly sought-after Chester assay office and the year 1900, late Victorian in era. The top of the slightly domed lid has a central vacant cartouche which could be personalised by your silversmith if desired.

The lid fits well and the intricately cut glass is undamaged. All in excellent condition, measures 2 1/2" across widest part of jar x 2 1/8" tall.
