Stunning Sterling Silver and Enamel Topped Inkwell - 1913

A sensational find, the kind of thing we are constantly searching for and rarely find. A beautiful heavy piece of cut crystal, really deep cut, very tactile and highly decorative.

The hinged lid is made from sterling silver, hallmarked for Birmingham 1913, so 97 years old together with the makers initials C & C, I believe for Albert Cohen & Charles Solomon.

The domed silver top is blessed with a beautiful powder blue guilloche enamel over a pretty engine turned decoration and topped with gold Fleur de Lys, just wonderful. The interior retains it's original removable glass ink chamber.

Excellent condition, to be really picky, one minuscule inconsistency to the edge of the enamel, for accuracy purposes only - see photo. Measures 3 1/2" tall with a base diameter of 3 3/4",
