An absolute gem for the tea caddy lover, this wonderful English example dates to around 1790.
It is hard enough to find these single square caddies these days, but finding one domed is even harder and with an unusual and highly decorative inlay to the top, almost impossible!
The mahogany caddy is framed with satinwood cross-banding to compliment the satinwood oval inlay to the top.
The interior has a single tray lid. The interior of the lid has been relined with in a hand made paper, perfectly in keeping. There is a replacement (working) key.
Quite wonderful awaiting it's new discerning owner. Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" tall.
