A large example of one of these charming desk - top nib wipes meant to wipe the excess ink from a traditional dip pen.

The cast brass pig is filled with firm natural bristle, perfect for absorbing the ink.

A quality solid piece in excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" long x 2 3/4" tall. Dates to ca. 1880.
