Small Antique English Brass Mounted Walnut Stationery Box c.1860
A really charming little stationery box, this one would have held the much smaller Victorian stationery. Today, if you wished to put this box to use, it would lend itself to personalized note cards, photographs or business cards.

The rich toffee coloured Walnut is enhanced with a large gothic style mount to the domed lid and a matching long escutcheon which is beautifully engraved. This houses a working tasselled key.
The interior has been professionally re-lined in hand-marbelled paper, perfectly in keeping and creating a clean, usable finish.
A charming gem in excellent condition. 6 1/2" x 3" x 4 1/2" tall. The interior compartments measure 5 1/4" in width.
