GUY ROWBURY listed contemporary Western American art large gouache painting tipis at Jackson, Wyoming
Here's a pleasing work in gouache on paper, 5 1/4" by 26" (16" by 35" as framed), signed by late 20th century Idaho-born Montana artist GUY ROWBURY. The scene is of native American indian tipis on the plains by the Snake River at Jackson, Wyoming, with the majestic Teton mountains in the background. The painting is signed at lower right and bears a distinctive symbol used by the artist. Beneath the painting itself, in a special window of its own, is a symbolic native American indian arrow with feathers, paint, sinew, and a tiny fetish that looks like a chicken foot. The painting is in superb fresh condition. The mat is clean as well; frame is a light blue wood with some rubbing. The artist is listed and is most closely associated with Montana. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates. See my site for another, smaller work by the same artist, and see HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS NOW AS WELL.
