1919 Chicago Black Sox baseball sports memorabilia front page of newspaper World Series

This is an unusual item of interest to the collector of baseball and World Series memorabilia: the first page of the Muncie, Indiana Evening Press newspaper dated October 7, 1919, detailing the minutiae of game six of the series of that year, one of the infamous "fixed" World Series games, including references to ("Shoeless") Joe Jackson and other scoundrels involved in one of the worst scandals in the history of professional sports. The paper is age-yellowed, but otherwise in good condition. Other news stories of the day include reports on the health of President Wilson and a cross country air race (think biplane)! If you collect World Series or baseball memorabilia, consider this scarce item for your collection. NOTE: all photos were taken through taped glass, so allow for the apparent creasing, which is not present on the actual newspaper. Also, allow for reflections and shadows which appear as stains, etc. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates. See hundreds of PAINTINGS in my shop.
