FRANCES ELIZABETH PRATT (1913-) American listed art gouache paintings of pony
Pair of gouache on paper drawings mounted in one mat, one drawing 2 1/2" by 2 1/2", one 3" by 3 3/8", (the size of mat 9 1/2" by 7 1/2"), and the work is inscribed "To Tony" at lower left and signed and dated "52" at lower right and "49" just below the lower drawing. The artist is listed in Who Was Who in American Art and a number of other reference works. She studied at the Art Students League, Art Institute of Chicago, and with Hans Hofmann. Her works are included in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum and the Corcoran. The paintings are in excellent shape but the mat which contains the inscription and signature/dates is water stained and soiled; it might be desirable to create a new mat for most of the work, so as to provide as clean a mat as possible for viewing, while keeping the signature and inscription.
