JAMES RALEIGH ABRAHAM (1909-) **pair** pastel landscape drawings by Indiana artist‏

PAIR of pastel drawings of hilly landscapes, each 5" by 7" (12 3/4" by 13 3/4" framed), both dated 1941, and both signed by listed American artist JAMES RALEIGH ABRAHAM (1909-). Abraham was apparently most closely associated with Indiana, having exhibited with the Hoosier Salon. He also studied in New York with Leon Kroll. During the 1930's he illustrated a number of books, possibly while working for the WPA. I thought I had seen somewhere that he was also working in North Carolina but I might be confusing him with someone else by a similar name. An online search has not turned up more information. Both drawings are in superb condition. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates. SEE HUNDREDS OF PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND PRINTS NOW IN MY SHOP.
