This is a mint condition, nicely framed silkscreen print from 2006, signed in pencil in lower right margin and numbered there / , titled "Laurel Canyon The Inside Story of Rock & Roll's Legendary Neighborhood", the image created for the book by Michael Walker. Jermaine Rogers is a male Brooklyn, New York-based artist who is known for his modern rock poster art, created for various promotional purposes. He began these artistic pursuits in 1994, and by 1996 was working full time with his art. Over the years Rogers has created some 800 posters for musical groups, including such acts as Radiohead, Neil Young, David Bowie, The Melvins, etc. He has worked for corporate clients and at this point his art is known world-wide. This example is quite retro, as the image features a classic, buxom San Francisco-style flower child hippie girl of the 1970's, the poster evoking memories of the Haight-Ashbury, Fillmore, etc. The frame and poster are in perfect condition.
