THOMAS ELLISON (1866-1942) English art fine watercolor painting of rural cottages in snowy landscape

Watercolor painting of country cottages in a rolling rural winter landscape, 13" by 19 1/4" inside the mat, 27" by 33" as very nicely framed, signed at lower right by the listed English watercolor artist THOMAS ELLISON (1866-1942). I have not found any biographical information on the artist beyond birth and death dates, but he did apparently leave a fine legacy of watercolor art, the subjects including all parts of England and Wales, France, Italy including Venice and Capri, and even exotic Algeria. Ellison's works appear at auction in England where their decorative qualities are highly appreciated. This work just came from a local estate. It is extremely clean and fresh, the colors not faded by the passage of time. I have not opened it up yet but I suspect I will find a title on the reverse side, as many of Ellison's works appear to be titled. The frame is older and of high quality. I feel the watercolor could date to circa 1900, give or take a few years. All in all this is a fine watercolor worthy of the finest home. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
