Southwestern American art vintage 1953 painting of katchina dolls

Oil on canvasboard, 22 1/4" by 18" framed, signed on the reverse by Los Angeles artist Johanna Dawes and dated 1953. Dawes was the daughter of a local woman, a talented artist and pottery maker, who recenly passed away at age 103. This item was in her estate.
