Map "The Turkish Empire in Europe and Asia with the Kingdom of Greece", published in 1845 in London by Charles Knight and Co., "under the supervision of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge". There is some hand coloring of the outlines particularly around Greece (green and red) and around Turkey (yellow). The map (14 1/2" by 17 1/2" as framed) is in generally very presentable condition with some very small browned spots and two small edge tears into the border at left, but these flaws I think would not diminish the appeal of the map, except perhaps to the purist collector. The extent of territory extends from Hungary on the northwest to southern Russia on the northeast to Libya on the southwest and Basra, in Iraq, on the southeast. I have not examined the map out of the frame. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates. SEE HUNDREDS OF WORKS OF ART NOW IN MY SHOP.
