MARC CHAGALL (1887-1985) original lithograph in colors "Monumental" 1973 Collector's Guild edition
Lithograph in colors, 13 1/4" by 19 3/4" (22" by 28" as framed), unsigned, with The Collector's Guild label affixed to the backing, 1973, (titled there as "Homecoming", but from what I can determine, "Monumental" is the title in common use). This is a decorative print in excellent condition, the paper white and fresh and colors unfaded. There was an unsigned edition of 10,000 on Arches, with a center fold, printed by Mourlot but this example does not have the fold, so I am not certain as to whether this example is from that edition. The subject is described on the label as a "perfect expression of Chagall's genius, with its fantasies and aura of love, ever represented by the figure of Bella, his wife."
