Bermuda art original mid century signed large watercolor painting of a traditional island home

One of three works in my shop by the same artist, F. KENWOOD GILES of Bermuda, is this watercolor on paper painting, 14" by 19 1/2" inside the mat, 20 1/2" by 26 1/2" as framed, the subject a pink-walled, white-roofed island home on a lovely piece of property, flowering oleander shrubs and a few pines or cedars completing the happy scene. The paintings are not dated, but I would guess they would have been created in the 1940's or 1950's. To date I have not located biographical information on the obviously talented artist. He does not seem to be officially "listed" in standard reference books, but there are online records of his works having sold at auction. He appears to have been active between the 1920's and the late 1960's, principally as an illustrator. There are posters for Australian and New Zealand fruit producers, others for the war effort in England, and some political cartoons. I think he was English though there is some suggestion online that he was Australian. So perhaps down the road we will know more about this artist, as the scholarship is improving all the time. He has really caught the feeling of the island in this drawing and the two others. Condition is excellent. The frame is simple, white wood, with slight wear. Allow for reflections in glass. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS NOW IN MY SHOP.
