For the political memorabilia collector here is a wonderfully drawn original satirical work showing former president Jimmy Carter in his 1970's prime, holding a basketball and dressed as a player. It appears to likely reference his having been a basketball player at Plains, Georgia High School in the early 1940's; photos of him with the team can be found on the net by googling "jimmy carter basketball". The drawing is in soft brown color pencil with slight olive green highlights. It's signed at lower right "Jon Pearson". There is an artist by such a name in Southern California where this was found but I cannot at this point tie it to him with certainty. Condition is excellent. All photos were taken while the drawing sheet, 21 1/2" by 16 3/4", was protected in the poster box in which it will be shipped. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
