Old Chinese textile silk decorated jacket framed as a fragment
This is a piece of an old (19th century?) Chinese garment, 21" by 14 1/4" as framed, the principal design feature being a classic dragon or stylized dragon-bird with talons. I am not a vintage Asian clothing specialist so don't know how to date the piece but feel it's quite possibly 19th century or even earlier. Someone thought it worth saving and so we have this fragment, faded and browned and stained. There's fine handwork in the needlework embroidery. The piece is an interesting bit of history.
