Vintage folk art hand carved wooden duck decoy
Hand carved vintage decoy in wood, 13" long by 6" wide by 6 1/4" high, not signed and there are no other marks. I did show photos of this to a noted decoy specialist, who thought it likely that this is a European bird, likely or possibly of Spanish origin; but I have since seen another bird obviously by the same carver, while on a buying trip in Pennsylvania, so I am inclined to think this is of a more obvious and logical American origin. The bird has fine form and there are nice details in the head and tail area as the photos indicate. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
