Russian art very large political themed painting circa 1970's or 1980's by Sergei Borisov

Large oil on canvas, 52 1/2" by 37", unframed, with the name "SERGEI BORISOV" on the canvas overlap, the subject a scene of Cold War era Russia, with a lot going on in the image, which is an idealized urban, industrial landscape. The Russian is hard to translate (I'm helped by a friend who reads Russian), even to a Russian speaker/reader, but the gist of what is being said is that the proletariat and workers must prevail all together to work for the Communist ideal, etc. etc. etc.....where have we heard that before! Also, it could vaguely be translated as "win the revolution, it's in the hands of the workers and peasantry..." The words "school", "library", and "newspaper" appear at left on the buildings. Regardless of what exactly is being expressed in words, the "look" of the Cyrillic lettering, workers, and other images that one associates with the era of classic Cold War Communism, makes for one decorative, attention-getting painting. There are a few minor condition issues: Contact me with your zip code for an accurate quote, as the painting is unusually large. .
