For the Norman Rockwell fan who can't afford a real drawing or painting, (a painting brought a record $22 million at New York auction in 2014), this is most definitely the next best thing......a PENCIL SIGNED BY THE ARTIST limited edition print, numbered 55/200. This image was created by one of America's best known and best loved illustrators for the cover of the Saturday Evening Post edition of October 4, 1919. The print was produced in the mid 1970's in an edition of 200 with, I believe, an additional 60 artist's proofs. This example came from the estate of a deceased physician in the Palm Springs area. I have not opened it to inspect but it appears to be in excellent fresh condition with no foxing nor color fade. The size inside the mat is 27 1/2" by 21" (38 1/2" by 32" as framed). The Norman Rockwell Museum offers this print on its website for $3,500. ALLOW FOR REFLECTIONS IN A FEW PHOTOS.
