Colorado listed art PAIR of pastel landscape paintings by OMER GRAY (1900-1966)

This is a matched PAIR of works in pastel on paper, 8 1/4" by 11 1/4" plus narrow period frames (frames don't match), each signed "OMER GRAY '36". I am of the belief that both are Colorado scenes, since one clearly is a view of the famous Flatirons on the Front Range of the Rockies outside Boulder, Colorado. According to the Hughes listing, Gray was born in Texas and was in California by 1937, so, it would be quite possible that he would have been in Colorado before arriving in California. There doesn't seem to be a lot of other information available on Gray, who was obviously skilled. The drwaings are in good condition save for a dark 1/2" by 3/4" stain at extreme upper left corner of the Flatirons work, and what I believe could be a small moisture stain at left on the other piece. At first glance the dark stain appears to be a missing, broken off corner, but closer examination reveals simply a dark stain. It could possibly be matted out if it bothers you, but it's not significant enough to destroy the beauty of the work. The other painting's stain is rather hidden in the design.
