HELEN REYNOLDS (1896-1988) color serigraph limited edition print listed Northern California artist

This is a quality print by a woman artist associated with the Mendocino Art Center in Northern California. The subject is "Mendocino Joss House" (a joss house is a traditional Chinese house used for worship and other spiritual and traditional activities). Measuring 12 7/8" by 15 1/2" (16 1/2" by 20 1/4" as framed), this print, numbered 2 of 37 examples, has the appearance of a woodblock. It appears to be in excellent condition (not examined out of the frame). On the reverse is a biography of the artist, noting her worldwide travels and exposure to artists like Erle Loran and students of Hans Hofmann. Born in Ojai and a familiar figure in San Francisco for many years, Reynolds exhibited with the Mendocino Art Center in the late 1970's to critical acclaim. A 1986 label of that center with the title of this work is affixed to the reverse framing materials. Allow for reflections in some images. Shipping wizard figures are guesstimates.
