WILLIAM RUSSELL FLINT (1880-1969) important English 20th century watercolor artist limited edition signed photolithograph print

This is a fresh and clean example of the 1956 print "The Four Sisters, Chazalet", one of an edition of only 675 examples, signed in pencil at lower right and bearing an characteristic embossed blindstamp and, in the image, (copyright symbol) "F & R (Frost and Reed) at lower left. The print measures 18" by 24" (26 1/2" by 32" as framed). According to information on the net, Chazalet is a small medieval period town in central France near the famed ceramics town of Limoges. WILLIAM RUSSELL FLINT (1880-1969) was a very talented and popular artist who is today best known for his superb draftsmanship and watercolor skills, his favorite subject being beautiful women in various stages of nudity against architectural or scenic settings. Flint's best works command huge sums at auction in London. While he also worked in oil, it is the watercolors that are most coveted by collectors. This print is very clean, and ready for the wall in its simple yet functional frame. Allow for reflections in some images (accounting for why some are taken at steep angles).
