Drawing on notebook paper, signed at lower right and dated 1978, measuring 7" by 5", presently framed between sheets of glass in a simple wood frame (presently the glass not fixed within the frame, and overall dimensions 11 1/2" by 8 1/2"), the subject strange, dream-like figures. Schifrin was a familiar artist on the west side of Los Angeles in the mid century years, drawing and painting people and landscapes. Today he is listed in Who Was Who in American Art. This piece bears an old promotional sheet "Arnold Schifrin Small Works" by Pacific Frame Works Art Gallery, in what I believe is today's Culver City area. CONDITION: At some point in time the sheet, being brittle, cracked in upper and lower left, near the perforations, so, I will call these edge tears, which could be easily matted out once this is properly framed. Shipping wizard figures are estimates. Allow for annoying reflections in some images. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS OF ART NOW IN MY SHOP.
