We've handled quite a few of Wedgwood's series plates, and these are one of the most unusual. They were made for the Newark (New Jersey) Art Club in 1929, and show views of various buildings in Newark.
We have six views out of twelve. These are: Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company, House of Prayer, The Library, Museum, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart from Branch Brook Park, Court House and Lincoln Statue
Size: 10.5" in diameter.
Condition: light overall wear from use. "The Library" has a chip on the face, "The Museum" has a chip on the back which can't be seen from the front.
Mark: Impressed Wedgwood marks, dated 1929, printed "Engraved for the Newark Art Club 1929".
Please indicate which plate or plates you'd like when ordering.
