An exceptionally fine porcelain and wood electric lamp. The body of the lamp is Royal Copenhagen porcelain, hand-painted with large blue flowers on the main side and a single flower on the back. It is mounted in turned, limed wood.
This lamp was made for and retailed by the Georg Jensen store in New York. While the porcelain body is drilled, the handling of the decoration, especially the gray relief line at the foot, indicates that it was specifically made and decorated to be a lamp, on order for Jensen.
Size: 17.5" tall overall, porcelain part is 8" tall.
Condition: as new, no wear or damage, electrics are fine.
Mark: silver Jensen label on bottom (which a former owner has secured with tape), also a sticker reading 2577/2913, which corresponds to the Copenhagen marks on the bottom of the porcelain part.
