A fine gold-tone compact made by Stratton of England. The front of the piece is set with a large light blue Wedgewood Jasperware cameo with a relief of Cupid Asleep in white in the center. These compacts were made -along with other items- in the 1950s and early 60s.
Size: 3.375" across, 0.675" thick.
Condition: a little light wear to the metal, otherwise fine. Still contains the original face powder.
Mark: Stratton Made in England on back of case. Wedgwood marks not visible, but we are 100% certain that this is a Wedgwood cameo,l decorated with a known Wedgwood "sacrifice" scene.
