A fine and unusual piece of Blenko glass made for Colonial Williamsburg, this is a wine glass rinser. They were used in the 18th century to wash glasses between courses. The riser was filled with water, and glasses were inverted into it, resting on the spouts and twirled.
Vintage Blenko/Williamsburg catalogs suggest using it as a finger bowl or small flower vase. It's Blenko #CW 7. This example is in amethyst glass, which seems to be the least common color for Williamsburg items.
Size: 4.5" in diameter, 5.5" across at the spouts, 4.25" tall.
Condition: as new, no wear or damage. Closed bubble in the bottom but this sort of minor manufacturing defect was actively sought in these items.
Item ID: 4029
