Wedgwood Susie Cooper Reverie Coffee Pot

One of the most important English ceramic designers of the twentieth century, Susie Cooper was the first woman to run her own pottery in Staffordshire. Her career started in the 1920s and reached its zenith after World War II. By the mid-1960s, Cooper's partners were were worried about their financial position, and their operation was sold to Wedgwood. It remained an independent operation with Cooper as designer and director.

This is one of the patterns she designed during the Wedgwood years. The blank is bone china, in a classic Modern form. The transfer decoration is of pansies in warm shades of brown, the lid hand-painted. The pattern is called Reverie and is line number C2055.

This is the coffee pot in this pattern.

Size: 8.5" tall by 8" from handle to spout.

Condition: as new, no wear or damage.

Mark: Susie Cooper Wedgwood mark. This particular mark was in use from 1966 to 1970.
