Vintage Sanyu Cased Knobby Vase

A fine and unusual Modern glass vase, manufactured by the Sanyu Glass Co., Ltd of Osaka, Japan. The technique is what the Italians call "Sommerso", with an interior colored layer cased in crystal. In this case, the interior is a citron yellow at the top and green at the bottom. I'm less certain as to the method used to shape the vase. Having compared this piece with other Sanyu pieces, I believe they are all hot worked and free-hand formed, which means that all the bumps or knobs on this piece were formed by hand.

It's 10" tall and 3.75" square at the top.

Condition: one or two scratches to the polished bottom, otherwise fine.
