Sunday Blood Sunday Original 40X60 Theatrical Poster

We recently acquired a small collection of large-format, vintage movie posters dating from the late 1960s and early 70s. We're not sure what theater they originally came from, but I would suspect it was was one of the last, large movies palaces here in the Philadelphia area, as only an urban theater would have needed these huge posters for display.

These posters are 40" by 60" and printed on heavy card stock. This size is now known as a "Bus Shelter" and used in major cities in the pre-fab metal shelters found at bus stops, but decades ago, the size would have been used in frames at large first-run theaters.

This is the original theatrical poster for John Schlesinger's Sunday Bloody Sunday, starring Peter Finch, Glenda Jackson and Murray Head. It was a ground-breaking film for its era, as both Finch and Jackson's characters were having affairs with Murray Head.

The poster is 40" by 60".

Condition: light wear to the edges, small loss to the left margin, and a long tear extending up from the bottom margin it was repaired with tape from the back, probably while the poster was still in use. As it stands, it's almost invisible from the front.
