A Wedgewood Jasperware and brass table lamp. Likely assembled by a lamp manufacturer here in the United States, it consists of Wedgwood Jasper stock pieces used as lamp parts, combined with cast brass parts, combined to make an elegant table lamp. The Wedgwood parts are two table lighter bases with white relief of Julius Caesar and a spike-knob box lid.
Based on the parts used, this lamp was assembled in the late 1960s or early 1970s, out of parts which were new at the time.
It's 17.5" tall to the top of the Wedgwood parts and 25.25" tall overall (to the top of the finial on the harp).
Condition: a little darkening to some of the brass parts due to age, otherwise fine.
Mark: I haven't had this lamp apart yet, but there's no doubt that there are impressed marks on the bottom of the Julius Caesar pieces.
