A fine, large console or centerpiece bowl by Old Morgantown Glass of West Virginia, produced in the 1930s. This is their Janice bowl, in Amethyst, with a vertical or ribbed optic to the glass. The rim is rolled and folded, and the pontil has been ground out and polished. it's a great, simple Art Deco Moderne form.
It's 1.125" in diameter, 4" tall and 3.5" in diameter at the foot.
Condition: a few scattered, light scratches to the interior, moderate wear to the foot ring. Otherwise fine.
