Wedgwood Black Jasper Ware Oblong Box

This Oblong shape Wedgewood Jasperware box (originally sold as a match box, though later examples like this one lack the striker inside the lid) has a large amount of sprigged decoration for such a small piece. The top has a scene of a man and a chariot while the sides show tiny vignettes. The body is solid black Jasper with white relief.

The box is 3.5" long, 2" wide and 1.5" tall.

Condition: as new, no wear or damage.

Mark: impressed Wedgwood marks, dated.
