A Wedgewood Jasperware cobalt blue dip heart-shaped sweet dish or pin tray. Wedgwood made these trays in the shapes of the four card suites, originally as ashtrays for bridge players, but later marketing them as "sweet dishes". For reasons I'm not certain of, some items in Wedgwood's old heart shape, like this one, were made with the sprigged figural decoration applied upside-down.
It's 4.675" wide, 3.75" long and 0.75" tall.
Condition: no wear or damage.
Mark: impressed Wedgwood marks, including the phrase "Made in England", which dates this piece to between 1910 and the first part of the 1930s.
Item ID: 3436
